After several comments that Amazon Prime blocked Chromecast, I digged into it a bit more and found out that this may be due to Microsoft Silverlight. If you do not have it installed, select ‘Flash Player’ and it will still work. Here are some snapshots.

You can open this by going to ‘options’ under Google Cast extension then right click on ‘Inspect Element’ and uncheck ‘display:none’.

Lately I have been having issues where the cast would freeze. Chromecast has ‘ready to cast’ on the TV but the Chromecast will not be found on your devices. Google Play store just updated their site and are accepting orders for the new Nexus 7. The ship date is July 30th and Amazon still has it and can be shipped earlier than that.
